Hundreds of Turkmen Support Dr. Abdullah
Wednesday, August 12, 2009

More than three hundred people representing the Turkmen ethnic group from various provinces gathered in Kabul to declare their support of Dr. Abdullah.

These representatives with their presence at the campaign headquarters declared that they consider Dr. Abdullah a fit, capable and decent candidate and in the presidential election they will vote for him.

Engineer Allahmurad, one of the representatives of the Turkmens said that Mr. Qarqeen, Minister of Work and Social Affairs, with the excuse that he would set up a meeting for them with Karzai so they can discuss their problems with him, actually wanted to sell them to Karzai. But they discovered this plot in time and chose their path carefully.

He said that the Turkmen people are now aware and will no longer allow anyone to abuse their name and play with their fate.

Also, on Wednesday, Karzai's campaign chairman in Butkhak (of Kabul) declared his support of Dr. Abdullah and with all his personnel joined Dr. Abdullah's campaign.

President of Maihan Youth who was a member of Karzai's Election also joined Dr. Abdullah's campaign. Jamaluddin Khan said that Karzai has not made true with his promises and he and his colleagues decided to support Dr. Abdullah.
